The Hard Interchange

The Hard Interchange is the main bus terminal for the Portsea area, situated between Portsmouth Harbour station and the entrance to Gunwharf Quays. The interchange provides connections to bus services running throughout Portsmouth and to neighbouring towns and cities. It was redesigned and improved as part of a broader regeneration of The Hard area, creating better pedestrian connections between the bus stops, the railway station and the Gosport Ferry terminal. The interchange handles a large volume of passengers, particularly during peak commuting hours and the summer tourist season. Its central position at The Hard makes it the most accessible public transport hub in the Portsea area.
