The Bridge Tavern is a well-known harbourside pub located at The Hard, directly overlooking Portsmouth Harbour. The pub occupies a prominent position between the railway station and the dockyard entrance and has long served as a gathering place for dockyard workers, naval personnel, commuters and visitors. The current building is relatively modern, but a pub has stood on or near this site for many years. The Bridge Tavern serves a range of ales, lagers and pub food, and its outdoor terrace provides some of the best harbour views in the area. The pub is a popular stopping point for visitors arriving at or departing from Portsea by train or ferry.
