Boathouse 4 is a restored Victorian boathouse within the Historic Dockyard that has been converted into a creative workspace, cafe and events venue. The building, originally used for the construction and maintenance of small boats, retains its impressive timber-framed structure and open interior. It now houses studios for artists, makers and small creative businesses, and hosts a programme of exhibitions, workshops and cultural events. The cafe serves food and drink in a striking waterfront setting. Boathouse 4 represents the diversification of the dockyard into creative and cultural uses, complementing the heritage attractions elsewhere on the site.
