Action Stations

Action Stations is an interactive attraction within the Historic Dockyard that focuses on the modern Royal Navy and the technology, skills and teamwork required to operate today's warships. The attraction is housed in Boathouse 6, a large Victorian building, and offers a range of hands-on activities including simulated helicopter flights, ship-handling exercises, climbing walls and a high-ropes course. Films and displays cover contemporary naval operations, from aircraft carrier operations to mine clearance and humanitarian missions. Action Stations is particularly popular with younger visitors and school groups, providing a contrast to the historical focus of the other dockyard attractions. The building itself is a fine example of Victorian dockyard architecture.
